DalmatianCooking.com is written by John J. Goddard, a private chef and writer who has lived and worked on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. He is currently based in Portland, Oregon, USA. John has championed Dalmatia’s elegantly simple Mediterranean style of cooking as a basis for the perfect diet, and is at work on a Dalmatian cookbook in English. In his experiences and travels throughout Croatia, he fell in love not only with regional food and wines, but also the sea, landscapes, architecture, language, people, music and history. This site aims to shed light on all of these through a diverse offering of articles and media.
