DalmatianCooking.com is published by John J. Goddard, an American culinary artisan and writer who has lived and worked on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. He is currently based in Portland, Oregon, USA. John has championed Dalmatia’s elegantly simple Mediterranean style of cooking as the perfect diet, and is at work on a Dalmatian cookbook in English. In his experiences and travels throughout Croatia, he fell in love not only with the regional food and wine, but also the sea, landscapes, architecture, language, people, music and history.
This developing site aims to portray the gastronomy and culture of a little-known region of the world through articles, recipes and media.
